Street Crew Unit targets prolific property thieves

Over the last three months Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit has focused its energy on targeting individuals involved in property crime throughout the Prince George community.

An investigation in July helped to recover a stolen Tige boat, three stolen motorcycles and four stolen ATVs. The total value of the recovered property was approximately $365,000.

During August and September, the Street Crew Unit targeted a known property crime offender and executed a search warrant on their property. A large quantity of merchandise and tools were seized in this investigation, totaling over $100,000 in recovered property.

Where possible, the items that have been recovered by our investigators have been returned to the rightful owners or to the businesses where they were stolen from originally, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

If you have any information about this or any other criminal offence, please contact Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477 or online at (English only). You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers. If you provide information that leads to an arrest or recovery of stolen property, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
