Evacuation order for Noonlang Lake area

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako and Regional District of Fraser-Fort George have issued an evacuation order for wildfire in the vicinity of Noonlang Lake (referred to as Ocock Lake Fire – G51344 by BC Wildfire Service).

The order is an expansion and upgrade of the evacuation alert issued on September 5.

Information for residents within evacuation order area:

People living within an evacuation order area are required to leave the area immediately. Residents of the evacuation order area are required to contact their respective regional district to make arrangements for the provision of Emergency Support Services (ESS) such as food and lodging if needed.

Evacuated residents within the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George should visit the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George’s website at www.rdffg.bc.ca for updated information or to call our Emergency Operations Centre for assistance at 1-250-960-4400 (Toll Free 1-800-667-1959).

Evacuated residents within the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako should visit visit the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako’s website at www.rdbn.bc.ca for information on this Evacuation Order and/or any changes to the situation or call the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako at 250-692-1553.
