PORT COQUITLAM – The Prince George Cougars will take the ice for the first time in 2023-24 as they kick off the preseason against the Vancouver Giants tonight at 7 p.m.
The Cougars play the first of a four-game exhibition schedule after completing the annual Rob Charney Cup Red vs White game. Team Hamhuis (Red) collected a 7-4 victory over Team Brewer (White). Terik Parascak and Jett Lajoie both scored twice in the win while Lee Shurgot had two tallies for Team White. The Cats kick off the pre-season with a total of 32 players on the roster.

Tonight, marks the one and only time the Cougars and Giants will meet in the pre-season. PG and Vancouver will meet for the first time in the regular season on November 1 at the CN Centre. Prince George went 6-2-1-0 vs Vancouver in the 2022-23 campaign.
