One person is dead and three people are seriously injured following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Upper Fraser Road and the Beaver Forest Service Road Sunday.
Prince George RCMP were called out shortly before 6 p.m. Witnesses told police that a Jeep YJ was travelling westbound on the Forest Service Road when it collided in the intersection with a Honda Civic. Unfortunately, the driver of the Jeep did not survive the collision. The passenger of the Jeep and the two occupants of the Honda Civic were transported to hospital in serious condition.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased. Investigators would like to commend the actions of the witnesses who stopped at the scene of the accident and risked personal injury in order to pull the occupants of the Honda Civic to safety, which undoubtedly prevented further injury to the two individuals,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
The investigation remains ongoing. No further details will be released.
