Touch a Truck on Foodie Friday

The Prince George Public Library and the City of Prince George are gearing up to host Touch a Truck alongside Foodie Fridays for an afternoon of vehicles, live music, and food this Friday in Canada Games Plaza.

The Prince George Public Library (PGPL) is thrilled to be once again hosting Touch a Truck this Friday, August 11 from 11a.m.  to 3 p.m. in Canada Games Plaza. After a hiatus since 2018 they are eager to fill the Plaza with vehicles of all shapes and sizes and are teaming up with Foodie Fridays to make the event more memorable.

“We are really excited that we are able to once again host the beloved Touch a Truck event in the Plaza,” said Jen Rubadeau, Manager of Communications & Engagement at the Prince George Public Library. “The team has been working hard to connect with various community organizations and businesses to allow people of all ages an opportunity to come and see and touch a variety of different vehicles. The tentative list of vehicles includes a school bus, city bus, luxury coach, 48’ rig with trailer, a sleeper rig, sheriff van, drag car, junior drag car and truck, electric vehicles, firetruck (depending on availability), tractor, and even food trucks. This free event is always a huge hit as most of us never grow out of our fascination with all things that go vroom.”

The event is taking place in Canada Games Plaza from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Friday, August 11 and will feature live music by Deuces Wild as well as a rock painting station. Foodie Fridays will feature food vendors and face painting. The festivities then move inside the library from 2-4pm where participants can build their own cardboard vehicles and watch the movie Cars 2.
