UPDATE:   Police officers on the 2000-block of Upland Street have ended the incident with one arrest. The roads in the surrounding area have been reopened and those residents displaced during the incident will shortly be allowed to return to their homes.

Prince George RCMP is currently on the 2000-block of Upland Street, managing an ongoing and dynamic police incident in the area.

“At approximately 11:20 a.m. this morning, police officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in that neighbourhood. In addition to our police officers, the Emergency Response Team is now on scene and assisting with the incident. We request that the public stay out of the area in order to give emergency units room to conduct their work safely,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Out of an abundance of caution, residents in the surrounding units have been evacuated to a safe place. It is unknown how long police will be on scene at this incident. Updates may be provided as they become available.
