The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George Board of Directors has adopted a new bylaw where statutory public notices will be posted by two methods, the regional district website and Facebook page.
There is also a new policy where newspaper advertising can be used as an additional method of notification. This bylaw and policy were developed after conducting a survey of electoral area residents and considering the methods that are most widely available within the region.
Residents will continue to be mailed public notifications of land use applications and public hearings in accordance with the Development Applications Procedure Bylaw No. 3268 and the Local Government Act.
