The time has come. The season is right around the corner.
The smoke has cleared, and your Prince George Kodiaks Junior Football Team are back at Masich Stadium. The Prince George Kodiaks have been working through the adversity of the air quality. With thanks to the City of Prince George and the UNBC Northern Sports Centre for their accommodations, the team has been able to continue practicing indoors for the health and safety of players and coaches.
But there is a break in the bad weather just in time.
“It’s time to get back outside and put our development into action,” said coach Jamie Boreham. “This scrimmage is an opportunity for our players to earn starting roles, and a great chance for the community to see us on the field.”
In preparation for the season opener on July 29 (tickets can be purchased at Ticketsnorth.ca), the Kodiaks will hold a Black and Gold Scrimmage Wednesday, July 19 at 6 p.m. at Masich Stadium. This is your opportunity to come out and see your 2023 Prince George Kodiaks in action. There is no admission charge, and there will be a post scrimmage meet and greet. Bring your sunscreen and your water bottle and don’t miss out on the action! Merchandise will also be available for sale to get you gameday ready for the season opener as well.
The Prince George Kodiaks Football Club is a CJFL Team playing in the BCFC out of Prince George. 2022 was their inaugural season.
