Naomi Shore and Corwin Fox to play Omineca Arts Centre

An intimate evening of story and song with Canadian singer/songwriters Naomi Shore and Corwin Fox July 9 at the Omineca Arts Centre.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show getting underway at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 tickets in advance or at the door.

Corwin Fox is a Canadian songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist living on Vancouver Island. Having toured across four continents, Corwin plays concerts and festivals performing his songs on banjo and guitar. He teaches songwriting to youth each summer. The studio has become his focus since he founded the Corwin Fox Academy of Perpetual Excellence. Corwin is also playing with Richard Reed Parry’s Quiet River of Dust.

Naomi Shore – Overcoming her pandemic fuelled identity crisis and breaking through her creative insecurities to record and release a new record, ‘Stability’ (which she half jokingly categorizes as Self Help Songs).

“Most of the lyrics on this album started as little affirmations, I was repeating to myself just to get through,” said Short. “I can’t speak for all artists but I know a lot of us really struggled with our sense of purpose and belonging when Covid shut everything down. Songwriting is the way I process my lived experience. It is how I find connection and validation. All I can hope for is that these songs will help someone, anyone, feel seen and understood.”
