
Prince George Tapestry Singers invite you to attend their Choral Concert, “Thank You for the Music” on Saturday June 17, at St. Mike’s Anglican Church, in Prince George.
“Thank You for the Music” is a concert that celebrates the joyful young voices of both the JUNIOR and SENIOR Tapestry Singers and their collaborations with several local professional musicians. Selections will range from contemporary to traditional and offer something for everyone. Always a sell out, Tapestry’s concerts present a gorgeous choral sound along with unique movement and choreography.
There will be familiar melodies, including: “The Happy Wanderer”, “Rainbow Connection”, “Shenandoah”, and yes! music from “Mama Mia”. There will also be lesser-known melodies, including: “Windy Nights”, “Spirit Bear”, “Bedu Pako Baramasa”, and “North”.
PG Tapestry Singers are thrilled to welcome local Indigenous Artist, Shirley Babcock who will be “live painting” during the concert; Alisha Rob, who will be “signing” the choral concert, and Elder Bibiane, who will be offering the Land Acknowledgement.
