Goodsir Nature Park to celebrate 34th anniversary

Jim Good

Jim Good, founder of Goodsir Nature Park, is inviting the community to his world-class botanical park on Wednesday, June 21, to celebrate its 34th anniversary.

The most important and rewarding thing in the world to Jim Good is being able to witness people enjoy everything that Goodsir Nature Park has to offer. Jim hopes that hundreds of community residents will stop by Goodsir Nature Park on the evening of June  21 to help celebrate its 34th anniversary.

As always, the park will be open for the entire day (admission by donation) for self-guided tours, while Jim has some fantastic plans for the evening agenda. At 6 p.m., there will be complementary refreshments and snacks provided for park visitors. There will be a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by a speech from Jim Good and a few distinguished guests.

To help celebrate the occasion, Steve Baker, a local musician, will be performing a one-hour concert from 7-8 p.m., playing a wide variety of hit songs from the past four decades, many of which can be found on records located within Jim’s music museum. Jim has now collected over 40,000 records in the museum.

Jim’s health has been extremely volatile and unpredictable lately, so this concert fundraiser is an opportunity to raise a few more extra dollars for the park, while highlighting the sensational work Jim has poured into Goodsir Nature Park over the past 34 years.
