The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society has officially opened its 2023 Hospice Dream Home season. The home is open for viewing, and tickets for the house and the Home Hospice 50/50 are on sale now
This year’s home is custom-built by Toor Enterprises and has an appraised value of $800,000. The dream home features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a basement with a separate entrance. Five appliances are included (washer, dryer, fridge, stove & dishwasher) from City Furniture valued at $8,100, and the home also comes furnished by Ashley’s Furniture valued at $16,400, for a grand prize value of $824,500.
This year 13,999 tickets will be sold at $125 each, and the grand prize draw for the dream home will be held on December 1, 2023, with 100 per cent of the money raised supporting the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society.
Along with the incredible dream home and four fantastic early bird prizes, there will also be two of our Home Hospice 50/50 raffle draws this year with the chance to win up to $150,000 each draw. “Home Hospice” 50/50 tickets are $25 each, with the first 50/50 draw being held on August 31. The second 50/50 draw date is to be announced.
With the ongoing need for our Rotary Hospice House services and the increased need for our community programs, the funds raised from the lottery and the 50/50 lotto will be utilized to support the Rotary Hospice House, community programs, and the Home Hospice program.
The hospice community program provides many different support programs to our community free of charge. Some programs include grief support, caregiver support, and COVID-19 long-hauler support. The provide virtual access to programming to communities across northern B.C.
Dream home and our 50/50 tickets will be available for sale in person at the home, located at 3445 Munro Way, seven days a week from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. You can also purchase tickets in person at the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society’s office, located at 1506 Ferry Avenue, from Monday-Friday 8 a.m. -4 p.m., and at Canadian Tire from Wednesday-Sunday, noon-5 p.m. Tickets will also be available 24 hours a day online at www.hospicedreamhome.ca and by phone at 1-866-419-7604.
