Members of the home building community will connect in Prince George this weekend for the Housing Awards of Excellence gala to celebrate industry achievements and the hard-earned title for the Renovator of the Year and Builder of the Year will be announced and celebrated.
The housing competition and gala event on May 13, at the Courtyard by Marriott are produced by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) of Northern BC.
“We are proud to recognize the highest levels of achievement in the residential development and construction industry. CHBA Northern BC members are among the most creative builders, renovators, designers, professionals, suppliers, and tradespeople in the region,” said Terri McConnachie, executive officer for the association. “The competition is fierce and there are some incredible projects up for the win in a variety of categories including new home, renovation, design creativity, and there is a focus on energy efficiency and environmental elements. It will be worthwhile to take note of the winners before hiring your next contractor.”
The Supplier or Sub-Trade of the Year, as voted by member builders will also be announced and the Golden Hammer Award will be presented to Joe Hart, founder of Icon Homes Ltd. in Quesnel, for his remarkable contribution to the home building sector and to the association.
