When Primetime Wrestling brings the action back to town on May 12 and 13, it’s not only fans of the sport that they hope to delight, but also local citizens who rely on the services of St. Vincent de Paul.
Ticket proceeds from the two-night event will go to support this valued community resource. Fans who bring a non-perishable food donation to the event will also be entered in a draw for a Mr. Mike’s Steakhouse gift certificate.
Each night will feature five matches, with a number of the pairings already being announced for the weekend’s events. Friday night sees titans collide as Abbotsford’s Mighty Lokombo locks horns with Edmonton’s Bobby Sharp. Popular Braydon Goss defends his Northwestern division title against rival Jordie Taylor in a first time showdown in Prince George. Prince George’s Wes Barker attempts to topple the unpopular Heavyweight champion “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada.
The Saturday night line-up looks to be just as exciting with the return to the ring of four-time women’s wrestling champion, Princess Delta Dawn of Prince George as she steps in the ring to oppose “The German Powerhouse” Kat Von Heez. The evening will also settle a dispute about who will be the next challenger in line for the heavyweight title when the #1 contender claimant Sean Gaston seeks to cement his status by sidelining the 330 pound Mauler. Quesnel’s Barlow Creek Butcher faces off against France’s Alex Nakache.
Tickets for both events will be available at the Scrapbook Zone and are expected to sell quickly given wrestling’s popularity in Prince George.
