Power outage affects more than 15,000 customers in Prince George area

B.C. Hydro says the power should be back on by 8 a.m.

Electricity went out for 15,803 customers in the Prince George area at 3:28 a.m. According to the BC Hydro website, the outage is due to a a transmission circuit failure.

The outage has affected Prince George residents living north of the Nechako River and most of the West Bowl area up to Peden Hill. The East Bowl area, including downtown Prince George, and College Heights appear unaffected.
