Prince George’s Nove Voce Choir, known for their popular guess the singer segments on TikTok, invite you to put on your best duds and party with them at an ’80s Prom themed fundraising dinner and dance Saturday May 6 at the Columbus Community Centre.

Tickets to the 19+ event are available through Eventbrite until May 1 and include dinner, dance, silent auction, and shuttle service. Buy your sweetheart a handmade corsage, strike an awkward pose for portraits, vote for prom royalty, indulge in some spiked punch and dance the night away! The evening will raise funds to support the choir to travel to perform in the International Choral Kathaumixw in July.

Nove Voce Choral Society began as a small group of volunteers singing to raise funds for the food bank in 2005 and has evolved into a 27 member choir who perform and compete internationally. The choir performs several concerts a year and frequently collaborates with local and regional performers including Judy Russell and the Prince George Symphony.

Recent highlights include opening for Boney M. in November 2022 and sharing fun videos and music with their over 200k TikTok followers. Nove Voce was awarded two silver medals at the European Choir Games Grand Prix of Nations in Sweden in 2019 after placing first at the Canadian National Music Festival, Class 100. The group looks forward to their first international competition since covid at the 2023 International Choral Kathaumixw where they are honoured to premiere several new compositions by prominent female composers.
