The Prince George Community Foundation understands that the need is still great for Ukrainians fleeing their homes and arriving in Prince George. Since the start of the invasion, Prince George for Ukraine and Share Hope has helped 251 (78 families) displaced Ukrainians settle in our region.
A family of seven arrived in Prince George this month with only two backpacks. They had to leave behind their home, livelihoods, and all their belongings as they fled the war in Ukraine. Prince George for Ukraine and Share Hope are in communication with another 64 people who are interested in relocating to Prince George and are in various stages of preparation with documents and flights.
This is why the Foundation is hosting Prince George Live for Ukraine on May 12 at the Coast Inn of the North. This evening will include Jessica Holmes (one of Canada’s top comedic talents), four course dinner, silent auction, dancers and more.
