City council has approved Engage Sport North’s request for local registered, targeted athletes to be given free access to the Prince George Aquatic Centre during operational hours.
Free access is for individual drop-in use and are not a replacement for or add-on to pool rental agreements.
There are currently 62 targeted athletes (40 registered with Engage Sport).
The proposal adheres to the city’s social health and well-being priorities to maximize quality of life for all residents and economic diversity and growth priorities by marketing Prince George as a place to invest, live, and visit.
