TELUS is launching #LoveFromTheWest, a social media contest encouraging Western Canadians to embrace their love for the place they call home — and the prizes are phenomenal.
Here’s how it works:
- From April 11 until May 12, western Canadians can share what they love most about the West – whether it’s through a scenic photo, video, or written note – on their Facebook or Instagram profile, with the hashtag #LoveFromTheWest and @telus tag.
- Once the contest wraps, TELUS will announce two lucky winners – one in Alberta and one in B.C. – who will each receive $2,500 to give to a local charity of their choice and $2,500 to help them explore the West however they’d like – a trip to the mountains, a journey to the Pacific coastline, a staycation or whatever suits their fancy. To help each winner relax at home, they will also win a brand-new Samsung smart TV.
The #LoveFromTheWest contest was made to help Western Canadians enjoy our beautiful region. Western Canada is the place where TELUS found its footing, and where they’ve made it a priority to give back. In TELUS’ 100+ years in western Canada, they’ve invested $117 billion connecting this community to what matters, given $530 million to local charities and community organizations, and volunteered more than 11 million hours to strengthen our local communities. Since 2000, TELUS’ team members and retirees have provided more than $1.7 million in cash contributions and volunteered over 400,000 hours of service in support of charities and community organizations in Prince George.
