Endako man pleads guilty to historic sexual assault charges

Neil Litke

In April 2021, Fraser Lake RCMP received a report that a female youth had disclosed to her family that she had been touched inappropriately.

Through the investigation and evidence obtained, police learned there were eight more possible victims with incidents that occurred between 1971-2021.

Neil Leonard Litke, 62, an Endako resident, has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and counts of touching for a sexual purpose.

Litke has plead guilty to four (4) of the six (6) charges and is expected to be sentenced at a later date. Litke remains in the community on strict conditions.

Eight individuals have come forward, and police believe there may be more victims. If you were a victim of Neil Litke, no matter how long ago the assault happened, you are strongly encouraged to call the Fraser Lake RCMP.

“We realize this is a traumatic situation, however, there are support groups in place that can offer assistance to victims of sexual assault,” said Sgt Jason Rumming, NCO i/c, Fraser Lake RCMP.

If you have any information or believe you, or someone you know may have been a victim, you are urged to contact Cst Carolyn Braun, Fraser Lake RCMP at 250-699-7777 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
