Nove Voce, Prince George’s national award winning choir, is back and doing what they love … BROADWAY. Broadway and Beyond will hit the stage at the Knox Bell Performance Space at 2 p.m. February 11. Special guests include the fabulous ladies of Cantora Alegre, directed by Kathy Pereira.
Nove Voce, which has competed around the world and won the Canadian National Festival, has selected pieces from traditional and new Broadway shows to provide you with an afternoon of fun and beautiful music.
This concert will feature Broadway favourites from classic musicals like Grease and South Pacific and some of the new Broadway shows like Dear Evan Hansen, Six and Waitress.
They will be joined by Cantora Alegre directed by Kathy Pereira. This group of great performers will be doing numbers from Mamma Mia, Sister Act and Mary Poppins.
The “beyond” portion of the concert will include beautiful pieces that will warm your heart like Gordon Lightfoot’s Songs for a Winters Night, White Winter Hymnal and some modern Canadian choral works like The Arrow and the Song by Alberta Composer Laura Hawley
They are delighted to be performing in Prince George’s newest venue the Knox Bell Performance Space, downtown on Fifth Avenue. This building offers beautiful acoustics, a great piano, and comfortable seating. make this your opportunity to see it first hand.
