A man was robbed in the early morning hours while walking near Ospika Boulevard and Reid Crescent Saturday.
Police say the robbery occurred at about 2:30 a.m. The victim told police that he was walking in the area and was attacked from behind. Surveillance from a nearby home shows two individuals getting out of a dark-coloured, newer model Chevrolet pick up and following the victim out of line of sight of the surveillance. They are seen again a short time later, getting back into the vehicle and driving away. The victim reports that his wallet and a watch were stolen.
Police are asking that anyone in the area who may have seen the attack or has dash cam footage of it, or anyone who has information on the truck or its occupants, to please contact an investigator by calling 250-561-3300. Please quote file number 2022-41588. The victim did not sustain serious physical injury.
