The Prince George Cougars (10-9-0-0) got back in the win column, defeating the Vancouver Giants (7-8-2-2).

Vancouver got the scoring started the scoring early and often, getting markers from Ty Halaburda and Brenden Pentecost to make it 2-0 Giants. PG responded in a massive way, exploding for five goals in the period. Carter MacAdams, Riley Heidt (2), Cole Dubinsky, and Noah Boyko all scored for the Cougars to get up 5-2 after the opening twenty-minutes.

In the second, Riley Heidt was able to tap home his hat-trick marker to extend the Cougars lead to 6-2 after forty-minutes.

In the third, the Giants got a pair of goals from Samuel Honzek and Zack Ostapchuk, but that’s as close as the Giants would come as the Cougars defeat Vancouver 6-4 in front of 4821 loud and proud fans at the CN Centre.
