Remembrance Day ceremonies set

Remembrance Day in Prince George will get underway with a ceremony at the Civic Centre from 9-10:30 a.m.

The parade to the Cenotaph will start at 10:30 a.m. at Civic Centre, proceeding down Quebec St. to Fifth Ave, turn right, then proceed to George St., turn right, continue to Veterans Plaza in front of City Hall.

A fly-over by local pilots in their vintage aircraft will be held during parade and Cenotaph ceremony, which runs from 10:45-11:30 a.m., including a two-minute silence at 11 a.m. At 11:30 a.m. the parade will depart down Seventh Ave. to Dominion St., turn right, parade past saluting station across from Legion Branch 43, proceeding to George St., turn left and continue to Fourth Ave. to be dismissed.

Everyone may place their own poppy or wreath after parade departs. Please be kind and respectful to your fellow Canadians. Everyone of all ages is invited to our Branch #43 @ 101-1116 Sixth Ave. Youth are invited to Civic Centre after the parade for a hotdog and a beverage.
