In the second period, the Thunderbirds tied the game, but Riley Heidt and the Cougars responded shortly after to give Prince George a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes.

In the final stanza, the Cougars got a late goal from Koehn Ziemmer, followed up by an empty net goal from Ethan Samson to put the game out of reach for the Thunderbirds. The Cougars end Seattle’s nine game unbeaten streak, winning 4-1.
