EVERETT, WA – The Prince George Cougars (3-3-0-0) wrapped up their two-game road trip with a 6-4 setback against the Everett Silvertips. Chase Wheatcroft, Koehn Ziemmer, Caden Brown, and Riley Heidt scored for the Cougars, while Ty Young was busy in between the pipes, making 49 saves.

Everett got the scoring started just 54 seconds into the game and were then able to add another on the man advantage to find themselves ahead 2-0 after the first period.

In the second, the Silvertips were able to add to their lead four and a half minutes into the period, making it 3-0. The Cougars were able to claw back in the second, getting two power-play goals in a span of 1:02 from Chase Wheatcroft and Koehn Ziemmer. Three minutes after Ziemmer’s goal, Caden Brown was able to jet out of the penalty box on a short-handed breakaway and beat Braden Holt to tie the game at three. 48 seconds after Brown’s goal, the Silvertips got two more of their own in the final minutes of the second to make it 5-3.

In the third, PG was able to make it 5-4, courtesy of a Riley Heidt wrist shot from the left circle, but the Silvertips shortly after were able to score into a Cougars empty net in the final minute, ending up a 6-4 final at Angel of the Winds Arena.
