Despite a multi-point night from Carter MacAdams and 54 shots registered, it was the Victoria Royals who were able to score five times and defeat the Prince George Cougars by a 5-2 count in Port Coquitlam.
1st PERIOD:
VIC: As the final seconds ticked off of a Royals power-play, Luke Shipley went top shelf on Tyler Brennan to give them the lead. Shipley’s goal was assisted by Caleb Matthews at 5:25.
VIC: Just over a minute later, Wyatt Wilson was able to put home his first of the pre-season. Wilson’s tally was assisted by Grant Reid at 6:58.
PG: Carter MacAdams was able to spot Terik Parascak at the right circle and Parascak made a terrific move and put it by goaltender Jayden Kraus to make it 2-1. Parascak’s second of the exhibition season was assisted by MacAdams and Carlin Dezainde at 7:43.

2nd PERIOD:
PG: On a Cougar power-play, Ryker Singer registered the puck to the goal from the left circle, and was initially stopped but the rebound was banged home by Carter MacAdams to tie the game at two. The MacAdams power-play goal was assisted by Singer and Hudson Thornton at 2:18.

3rd PERIOD:
VIC: Just under six and a half minutes into the third, Teague Patton was able to sneak one by Brennan to give the Royals the lead. Patton’s first of the pre-season was assisted by Marcus Almquist and Deegan Kinniburgh.
VIC: Carter Brilitz got the puck in the slot area and snuck a wrist shot past the low blocker of Brennan to double the Royals lead. Brilitz’s goal was assisted by Igor Zborovskiy at 11:11.
VIC: The Royals were able to get one more as it was again Brilitz scoring his second of the night on the power-play into the Cougars empty net. Brilitz’s second goal was unassisted at 19:39.
The Cougars return to action this upcoming Friday at Sandman Centre when they take on the Kamloops Blazers.
