2022 BC Summer Games hosting volunteer drive Saturday

Prince George 2022 BC Summer Games is on the lookout for volunteers to help with the Games this July.  Approximately 2,400 more volunteers are needed for the Games, which run July sporting event.

On Saturday June 4 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., the BC Summer Games team will be at the Prince George Canadian Tire with a goal to sign up at least 500 volunteers during those hours. Anyone who registers to volunteer on this day will be entered to win various giveaways and prizes.

“Prince George is the volunteer city, and we know that our community will once again come together to make this event a success,” said President Renee McCloskey. “We are so grateful for everyone who has registered to date, and for our many volunteers who have been working for over a year now. We still need 2400 more volunteers from food services to transportation. There is no more time to wait, now is the time to register to volunteer.”

Director of Participant & Volunteer Services Tracey James added: “We are inviting the community to join us at Canadian Tire to ask their questions, learn more about the variety of opportunities for individuals, families, and groups; and ultimately to sign up to support the Games. There is a role for everyone. Even one shift over the four-day event is incredibly beneficial.”

All volunteers must register online. Registration can be completed anytime.  To register and for more information visitwww.bcgames.org.
