Two youths are facing charges after several vehicles were damaged Sunday.
Prince George RCMP responded to a report of multiple vehicles vandalized at a car dealership on the 2000-block of Highway 16 West. Witnesses report seeing two people fleeing the area on foot. Frontline police conducted patrols in the vicinity and located two youth suspects who matched the description provided. Investigators arrested the youth and released them to their guardians with future court dates, pending the full investigation.
“We have received reports from a housing complex on the 2100-block of Upland Street, as well as two car dealerships on the 2000-block of Highway 16 West, of vehicles being damaged during the night on April 10,”
said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP, in a news release. “Police are looking for anyone with video surveillance or dash cam footage between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. from the vicinity of the vandalized cars to call the non-emergency line at 250-561-3300 to speak with investigators. Please quote file number 2022-12056.”
Police identified 30 vehicles so far that received damage during the night in question. The investigation is ongoing.
