Winterhawks Booster Club set to cheer on their team at CN Centre

The Portland Winterhawks are in town this weekend and they’re bringing their booster club.
There are two scheduled hockey games Friday February 25 and Saturday February 26 featuring the Portland Winterhawks and Prince George Cougars.
Twenty-two hearty souls from the Portland Winterhawks Booster Club will make their third pilgrimage to the city  since 2014, but do it just a bit differently.
In a first ever during the regular season, members will fly here and travel. around using the bus used by the Prince George Cougars. The bus will be seen at a variety of places around town to both shuttle the members aboard, but also to highlight the pair of games that weekend.
Led by long time member Ardyce Moore who turned 95 this past year and President of the Booster Club Stuart Kemp, the members encourage fans to stop by Section L of the CN Centre during those two games to get one of the Portland Winterhawks Booster Club lapel pins that they will give to lucky fans in attendance.
The farthest south team meets the furthest north team  as both look to gain points in their quests for the upcoming playoffs.
“We look forward to seeing everyone there, talk hockey and enjoy a great night,”  said Stuart Kemp. “Our hope is that they will be great games and fans will see the great entertainment there is to be had in Prince George.”
The Winterhawks and the Cougars play February 25 and 26 at CN Centre. Game time is 7 p.m. both nights.
