Two third period goals from Luc Laylin, and another inspiring performance from Aaron Trotter gave the Spruce Kings a come from behind 3-2 victory over the Penticton Vees, to extend the Spruce Kings point streak to 20 games.
PEN: A Frank Djurasevic pass from the right circle fluttered its way cross ice and found Stefano Bottini at left side of the goal and he put it by Trotter to give the Vees a 1-0 lead, 56 seconds into the game. Bottini’s 10th of the season was assisted by both Djurasevic and Ethan Mann.
PEN: On a Vees power-play, Braden Doyle spotted Aydar Suniev at the right circle, and Suniev wired a one timer top corner and glove side on Aaron Trotter to double the Penticton lead. Suniev’s third of the season was assisted by both Doyle and Luc Wilson on the man advantage at 17:06.
PG: In the final seconds of the period, on the power-play, the Spruce Kings were able to win the faceoff in the attacking zone, and Kolton Cousins made a tremendous effort to find Austin Fraser at the left circle while falling to the ice, and Fraser was all alone in front of the goal and wired a wrister by Lane to make it 2-1. Fraser’s 12th of the season was assisted by Cousins at 19:51.

PG: Early in the period, it was a faceoff win from John Herrington, and it came right to Luc Laylin at the left circle, and he threw a wrist shot through traffic and found its way by Lane to tie the game at two. Laylin’s 11thof the season was assisted by Herrington at 1:09.
PG: In the final minutes of the third period, the Spruce Kings found themselves on the power-play, and a Nick Rheaume shot was initially stopped by Kaeden Lane, but it was once again Luc Laylin to deposit home the rebound to give the Spruce Kings a 3-2 lead. Laylin’s second of the night and 12th of the year was assisted by Rheaume at 15:50.
