WEST KELOWNA – Ben LeFranc’s fifth of the season and a late third period goal from Luc Laylin turned out to not be enough, as the Spruce Kings fall 3-2 in a shootout to the West Kelowna Warriors, but do collect at least a point for the 14th straight time.

WK: 5:56 into the second stanza, Warrior captain Elan Bar-Lev-Wise was able to somehow spot Cristophe Farmer at the left side of the goal and he slid it by Jordan Fairlie to give West Kelowna a 1-0 lead. Farmer’s third of the 21-22 season was assisted by Bar-Lev-Wise and Felix Trudeau.
WK: 28 Seconds later, John Evans spotted Chase Dafoe at the right circle and he made no mistake and beat Fairlie to make it 2-0. Dafoe’s 13th of the season was assisted by both Evans and Tyson Jugnauth at 6:14.
PG: A few moments later, Nick Rheaume staved off a Warrior checker into the attacking zone and slid the puck to Ben LeFranc at the top of the left circle and he wired it glove side on Johnny Derrick to make it 2-1. LeFranc’s fifth of the year was assisted by both Rheaume and Labelle at 8:37.

PG: On the Spruce Kings sixth power-play of the night, Luc Laylin was able to strip the puck off of Elan Bar Lev Wise in his own zone and took the puck back into the offensive zone and ripped it top corner to tie the game late in the third. Laylin’s seventh goal came on the man advantage unassisted at 16:01.
