Police seeking information in shooting incident

The Prince George RCMP is seeking information from the public about a shooting incident from last month.

On January 21, 2022, the Prince George RCMP began an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred earlier that day. The investigation began at the hospital, where police responded to a report of man in the emergency room suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators are now looking to speak with the driver of the vehicle who dropped the victim off at the hospital that night at approximately 10:30 p.m., in the hopes they can provide more information on the events of that night.

The victim was dropped off at the hospital by a person driving a very distinctive vehicle. It appears to be an older model Chevrolet truck. The driver’s side of the vehicle is red and the passenger side is black, and there are blue or black racing stripes down the hood of the vehicle. The hood of the truck, the roof and the tailgate are white, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.
