A goal from Kolton Cousins, and a late third period tally from Rowan Miller forced extra time for the third time in the last four games for the Spruce Kings, as the home side fell 3-2 in a shootout against the Vernon Vipers.
1st PERIOD:
PG: 9:43 into the opening frame, an Amran Bhabra point shot was tipped by Kolton Cousins, the puck was stopped, but the rebound came back to the Spruce King captain, and he made no mistake in the slot and put home his 13th of the season. The Cousins marker was assisted by both Bhabra, and John Herrington.

VER: Luke Pakulak was able to get a feed at the left circle from Viper captain JoJo Tanaka-Campbell, and Pakulak buried home is sixth of the year. The Pakulak tally was assisted by both Tanaka-Campbell and Luke Lavery at 8:29.
VER: A few moments later, it was a mad scramble in front of the Spruce Kings goal and the puck was eventually whacked home by Matthew Culling to give the Vipers the lead. Culling’s seventh of the season was assisted to both Seiya Tanaka-Campbell and Ayden Third at 11:14.

PG: In the later half of the final period, Nick Rhéaume got the puck at the left wing at the attacking blue line, and spotted Rowan Miller with a ton of speed in transition and Miller put the puck top corner in tight to tie the game. Miller’s 16th of the year was assisted by both Rhéaume and Luc Laylin at 12:52.
