An assault investigation in Williams Lake Tuesday led to the discovery of several firearms.
On Tuesday, January 18, at 2:51 a.m., Williams Lake RCMP were called to a home in 700-block of Pigeon Ave for an assault in progress. An woman reported that another woman was assaulting her and that she was injured.
Police responded and a suspect was located outside the residence, attempting to hide from police. She was arrested without incident and later released for a court date in April 2022.
During the on scene investigation, police located two loaded shotguns and a pistol that appears to be a BB handgun. Another person in the residence, a man, was attempting to conceal these firearms and was subsequently arrested for numerous firearm related offences. The man was held in custody for a court appearance today.
“All three individuals are known to police and have ties to local gangs in the city,”
said S/Sgt Del Byron, Operations NCO Williams Lake RCMP.
