PrairieCoast equipment, the local John Deere dealership in British Columbia and northern Alberta, is acquiring the John Deere inventory from the local powersport store, NR Motors.
NR Motors is Prince George’s oldest recreational vehicle dealer. NR Motors sold the First Avenue property that housed its dealership last year to make way for a new supportive housing unit downtown. It continues to operate from a new location near Continental Way.
The store was founded in 1967 by Bob and Marvina Nikkel. Since their opening 54 years ago, they have remained a family business with strong values of community and integrity. NR Motors sells a range of recreational powersport equipment. This includes RV’s, powersport vehicles, boats, and John Deere equipment.
PrairieCoast Equipment is acquiring the John Deere equipment including compact utility tractors, riding lawn mowers, zero turn mowers, Gator utility vehicles, and implements. PrairieCoast equipment operates a sales, service, and parts department out of their location on Cowart road in Prince George. They are also equipped with road service technicians to be able to service customers at their location and in areas outside of Prince George.
“We’d like to wish the Nikkel family well as they transition,” said Doug Bolton, PraireCoast Equipment’s Prince George branch manager. “NR Motors has been a leader in the Prince George market for many and we’d like to thank them for their years of service to the community. We’re excited to extend PrairieCoast equipment’s services to NR’s customers for all of their John Deere needs and look forward to serving them at our Cowart Road dealership.”
PrairieCoast equipment in Prince George is located at 4228 Cowart Road.
