The City of Prince George is notifying citizens of the holiday operating hours for civic facilities. Residents can still contact the City at all hours of the day and night to request service by dialing 3-1-1 within City limits or emailing 311@princegeorge.ca.
The City’s usual hours of operation will apply during the holiday season with these exceptions:
- All operations except police and Fire Rescue services will be closed for business on December 27 and 28 for Christmas and Boxing Day, 2021 and January 1, 2022.
- On December 24, non-essential services, such as City Hall including the Service Centre, will close at 2 p.m.
- On December 31, non-essential services will close at 2 p.m.
- CN Centre, Community Arenas, and the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre will be closed on December 25, 26, 27, and 28 2021 and January 1 and 3, 2022 with the exception of a New Year’s Day skate at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena. For all other dates, employees have been scheduled as per event requirements.
- Aquatics will operate on the following schedule:
P.G Aquatic Centre
- December 24 – Closed at 2:00 p.m.
- December 25 – Closed
- December 26 – Closed
- December 27 – 30 – Regular Hours
- December 31 – Closed at 6:30 p.m.
- January 1 – Closed

Free transit on New Years Eve
The City of Prince George and BC Transit are offering free service on New Year’s Eve in Prince George, starting after 7 p.m., with extended service until 3 a.m. on routes 5, 15, 88, and 89.
