COVID-19: Laurier Manor outbreak declared over

Northern Health Medical Health Officers have declared an end to a COVID-19 outbreak at Laurier Manor assisted living facility in Prince George.

At the time of the outbreak declaration, there were two lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 among facility residents. There have been no new cases associated with the outbreak since the declaration. Sadly, one of the residents who had tested positive, has since passed away.

Northern Health extends condolences to the family, friends and caregivers of the resident who passed away. Northern Health also wishes to thank the hardworking Laurier Manor staff, nurses, care aides, and physicians who have continued to provide excellent care in these challenging circumstances.

Northern Health Public Health continues to actively monitor and follow up all laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 among staff and patients at any NH facilities.
