UPDATE: Missing man has been located

UPDATE: Fiola has been located and is safe.

Prince George RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance with locating a missing 61-year-old man.

Julien Fiola was reported missing on December 6, 2021 after family had not heard from him in several days. His last contact with family or friends was on December 3 around 10 a.m. He is originally from Manitoba and stated he was travelling to Haida Gwaii to visit a friend. Police have not been able to locate Fiola and are asking for the public’s help.

Fiola is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • 175 cm (5’9)
  • 82 kg (180 lb)
  • Blue eyes
  • White hair
  • Balding
  • Unknown clothing description 

He is driving a white, 1999 GMC Jimmy with Manitoba license plate GNY911.

“Our investigation so far shows that he was last in Edson, Alberta on December 1,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper. “He stated to friends he was in Prince George on December 3, but we have not confirmed if he did make it this far or if he perhaps continued through.”
