Houston RCMP on the lookout for Prince George man following shooting a home in that community

On December 2, just before 2 p.m. the Houston RCMP were contacted after a Prince George man allegedly discharged a firearm in a residence in the 3200 block of Park Lane in Houston.

Houston RCMP frontline members were in the vicinity on an unrelated matter and arrived at the residence shortly after the complaint was made. All occupants inside the house immediately exited at the police’s request and it was determined that the suspect who fired the weapon had fled on foot prior to arrival.

A search of the residence showed evidence that a firearm had been recently discharged inside. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect was identified as Sakanisin “Scotty” Charlie-Tom. A warrant for his arrest has been approved through the BC Justice Centre.

Charlie-Tom is described as:
• 30 years old
• 5’9 (175cms)
• 209 pounds (95 kgs)
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes
• Facial Tattoo

“We don’t feel that there is a threat to the public at this time, as this is believed to be a targeted offence. The suspect and those involved were known to each other,” said Houston RCMP Detachment Commander, Sergeant Mark Smaill. “However, we have concerns that he may be travel;ing to other areas, and the firearm is still not accounted for.”

As he is considered armed and dangerous, Houston RCMP are asking that if you see Charlie-Tom, to call 9-1-1 immediately
