2022 BC Summer Games seeking merchandise request for proposal

The Prince George 2022 BC Summer Games is requesting proposals from qualifying companies within Prince George to become the official merchandise contractor for the games.

In July, Prince George will welcome up to 3,761 participants (2,808 athletes, 565 coaches, and 388 officials) for the32nd BC Summer Games. For three days, the city will be alive with high-performance athletic activity as youth aged 10–18 years participate in 18 sports.

“The merchandise for the BC Games is a crucial element in delivering a top event for the thousands of athletes and spectators attending the games,” said Renee McCloskey, President of the PG 2022 BC Games Society.

The merchandise contractor will have the license for sale of merchandise bearing the marks of the 2022 BC Summer Games through retail and wholesale and online channels from January 2022 until the Games period of July 21-24, 2022.

“We are looking to work with a local company to share the spirit of the Games with BC Games participants, and encourage all to apply,” said Alyson Gourley-Cramer, marketing director. “We can’t wait for sponsors, partners, athletes,and spectators alike to be decked out in games merchandise.”
