Police ask public’s help locating missing woman

Melinda Ewen

The Prince George RCMP is requesting the public’s help in locating Melinda Louise Ewen.

Ewen was reported missing by family on November 17, 2021. She was last seen earlier that afternoon at 2:15 p.m., leaving her home in Prince George. Ewen did not take her cell phone with her and it is out of character for her to not contact family for this long.

Melinda Louise Ewen is described as:
• Caucasian female
• 160 cm (5’3”)
• 54 kg (120 lb)
• Blue eyes
• Grey hair
• She prefers to be called by her middle name, Louise.

Ewen was last seen wearing a turquoise sweater, a turtleneck, black pants, brown winter boots and a red winter jacket. She is driving a red 2015 Ford Escape with B.C. license plate BK7 60F.

“Police and family are concerned for Ms. Ewen’s health and well-being,” said RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper. “Investigators believe there is a possibility that she may have tried travelling to the Lower Mainland where she has some extended family.”

If you have any information about Melinda Louise Ewen or where she might be, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or contact your local police detachment.
