Search warrant leads to arrests

The Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit kicked off Halloween weekend by executing a search warrant on Friday evening.

On Friday, October 29, 2021, the Street Crew Unit executed the warrant at a residence in the 100-block of Pioneer Avenue. The North District Emergency Response Team and the Police Dog Services Team were engaged to assist with maintaining officer and public safety. This is the second time investigators have been at this residence this year.

In total, 17 people were located inside the residence. Police arrested two people at the location, one in relation to this investigation and another on an outstanding warrant, and transported both to Prince George detachment cells. Investigators released the one individual without process pending results of the investigation.

A search of the residence yielded suspected cocaine and fentanyl, a large quantity of cash and several firearms.

“The Street Crew Unit is focused on targeting those individuals who bring the most harm to our community by dealing in illegal drugs and firearms. Their actions bring an unprecedented level of violence to our streets that we are committed to disrupting,” said Sgt. Chad Chamberlain, Commander of the Street Crew Unit.

This investigation is ongoing.
