Police seek driver of pick up truck seen at site of accident that killed pedestrian

The Prince George RCMP are trying to track down the driver of a pick up truck in connection to the death of a pedestrian on First Avenue Tuesday.

On November 2, 2021, shortly before 12:30 p.m., the Prince George RCMP responded to a motor vehicle incident on the corner of First Avenue and Quebec Street that involved a pedestrian. Unfortunately, the pedestrian did not survive the collision and the police are continuing their investigation.

“We are looking to speak with the driver of a pick up truck who may have information pertinent to this investigation,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “We believe it to be a 2014-2016 Ford 150 with extended cab and it appears there is a ratchets strap around the tailgate and an aftermarket bumper. The vehicle was seen driving in the area of First Avenue and Quebec Street around the time of the incident.”

If anyone has information about this vehicle, or who the driver or passengers of the pickup truck were, we ask that you contact investigators by calling 250-561-3300 to speak with police. Please quote file number 2021-43152.
