Public health orders affect city facilities

Mayor Lyn Hall

The City of Prince George is continuing to adapt its services to the October 14 Public Health Orders implemented by the Province of BC.

Earlier this week, the following changes were put in place:

  • Aquafit Classes at the Prince George Aquatic Centre are now cancelled.
  • The number of participants allowed to walk on the CN Centre concourse as part of the public walking program has been reduced from 75 to 50.
  • User groups, such as the Prince George Cougars, making use of civic facilities and arenas are required to have their own Covid-19 safety plan that includes vaccine passport checks. Attendance at the facilities is capped at 50%.

“The health of our citizens is of paramount importance to the City of Prince George,” says Mayor Lyn Hall. “We are continuing to work with Northern Health to ensure we are in strict compliance with all Public Health Orders. We also continue to be fully committed to taking any necessary measures to ensure our staff and our citizens are safe and healthy.”
