Fans of the paranormal and history buffs alike will be thrilled by the latest project from Barker Street Cinema starring Mass Effect’s Mark Meer and cosplay superstar LeeAnna Vamp.
After making its debut at the Academy Awards-qualifying Edmonton International Film Festival, the Prince George-based production company Barker Street Cinema has announced it will release the pilot for the paranormal history series WICKED WAYS exclusively online on Barker Street Cinema’s YouTube channel.
Barker Street Cinema producers James Douglas, Leah Coghlan and Norm Coyne will serve as hosts for the online event and will be joined by Mark Meer, LeeAnna Vamp and others for pre- and post-show interviews during the live screening. Douglas, Coghlan and Coyne had previously seen significant worldwide attention during the Stephen King Rules film festival which attracted 42,000 views from 28 countries and was tweeted about several times by King himself.
“We had such a great time streaming online with our fellow filmmakers during the Stephen King Rules festival,” Coyne said. “Releasing Wicked Ways carries on the same spirit of engagement with literally anyone in the world.”
WICKED WAYS chronicles Meer and Vamp as they explore the historic gold rush town of Barkerville, British Columbia in search of the spirit of an enigmatic pioneer named Miss Florence Wilson.
“Wicked Ways is different from many of the paranormal shows you’ll see today,” said Douglas. “Our series really dives deep into the history of the ghost we are hunting.”
“Add the pop culture-based personalities of Mark Meer and LeeAnna Vamp, and you have something very unique and a lot of fun,” he added.
The online streaming event for WICKED WAYS will go live at 7:30pm Pacific Time on Wednesday, October 20th at https://www.youtube.com/c/BarkerStreetCinema.
