Emergency Response Team helps with Charella Drive search warrant

The Emergency Response Team assisted members of the Prince George RCMP with execution of a search warrant on Monday evening.

Prince George RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on the 3000 block of Charella Drive that was in response to a weapons investigation.

Due to the high-risk nature of the call, members of the Emergency Response Team and the Police Dog Services team joined frontline police in executing the search warrant. Police remained at the location for several hours as they conducted their search.

“This investigation resulted in multiple firearms being taken off the street that otherwise might have been used to commit a criminal offence,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “The Prince George RCMP remains committed to removing firearms from those who are involved in criminal activity.”

If you have any information about this or any other criminal offence, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477 or online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca (English only).
