Shots fired at local business

Mounties in Prince George are currently looking for information on a shooting that occurred on October 17.

Just after 7a.m., the Prince George RCMP received a call to a business on the 700 block of Second Avenue for reports of gunshots. When officers arrived at the location, they discovered evidence of several shots fired into the back of the building.

Surveillance obtained by investigators shows what looks like a dark coloured, older model Volkswagen Jetta, with the back passenger window covered in plastic, leaving the area shortly after the sounds of the gunshots. The information attached to the license plate seen on the surveillance does not match the vehicle seen on the video.

“Police are looking for anyone with further information on this vehicle or this event to please contact an investigator by calling 250-561-3300. We are thankful that no one was hurt in this incident,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

If you have any information about this or any other criminal offence, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477 or online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca (English only). You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers. If you provide information that leads to an arrest or recovery of stolen property, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
