Northern Health says that a COVID-19 outbreak declared in early September at Jubilee Lodge in Prince George, is officially over. COVID-19 outbreak protocols are being lifted at the facility as the exposure risk period has now passed.
In total, there were 20 resident and three staff cases associated with the outbreak, and four additional resident cases were epidemiologically linked due to exposure with a confirmed case. Six residents passed away in connection with this outbreak, two of whom were epi-linked.
COVID-19 infection prevention and control remains an important focus at all NH long-term care facilities, including Jubilee Lodge, to limit the risks from COVID-19 to residents, staff and physicians.
