Northern Capitals sweep Comets

Armstrong and Boon both finished with two points.

The Capitals led 3-0 after the first period and 5-0 after the second.

Kennedy Lonson was the losing goaltender.

On Sunday at Kin 2, Sydney MacKay of the Comets opened the scoring early in the second period, and the visitors held the lead until half way through the third when Brooklyn Hutchings drew the Capitals even. Hutchings struck again with 5:23 left on the clock and Maria Ayre rounded out the scoring with 1:12 to go.

Sierra Eagles was the winning goaltender and Alexis Strehlau took the loss.

The Capitals will be in Surrey from Friday through Sunday for two games against the Fraser Valley Rush, one against the Thompson-Okanagan Lakers and one against the Vancouver Island Seals.
